Lisa's Clarinet Shop Seeks Apprentice

Hello to all you fine clarinetists!

As some of you may be aware, I am in the process of opening a new school called The Institute for Arts Entrepreneurship. The IAE is devoted to teaching artists how to earn a living. www.TheIAE.com

In my business, my hope for many years has been to help the world of musicians- and now specifically clarinetists- improve their playing and lift off their careers and imaginations about what in life is possible-- for each and everyone I serve.

On that note, I am seeking an apprentice for Lisa's Clarinet Shop.

Here is what I am looking for in an apprentice:

  • I am looking for the right individual who is interested in living in another city in 2 years- not in Chicago or the state of Illinois.
  • Someone who has excellent verbal skills and is interested in learning about the musical instrument business.
  • Someone who is willing to learn and does not think selling instruments is beneath them or that selling is a dirty word but instead an opportunity to get to know many people and share knowledge and skills.
  • I am looking for someone who has 10-15 hours a week to build their skills learning from me without pay for 2 years ( 52 weeks a year) and who has  a car.
  • I am looking for a clarinetist who has an excellent command of the instrument, and is a flexible agile player with good ears.
  • Lastly, I am looking for an honest hard working sincere individual who is interested in a life that includes selling clarinets.

What you will gain from becoming my apprentice:

  • The opportunity to have my help setting up a clarinet business to earn a living selling clarinets,  after you complete a 2 year apprenticeship program.
  • The opportunity to take select classes at The IAE without additional cost. Full enrollment would be at an additional cost to you.

To apply for this position please send me a letter that is 500 words or less as to why you are the perfect candidate for this opportunity. Please also attach your resume. You may send it to: Lisa@LisasClarinetShop.com
